The new A-A4720302817 kit contains a new piston with a modified combustion bowl that is designed to lower soot emissions. This new piston also has a slightly increased compression ratio for improved thermal efficiency. These forged steel pistons feature graphite coating on the skirt for reduced friction. The new MCIF2817-032 inframe kit contains an Interstate-McBee custom gasket set with all the gaskets and seals needed for inframe overhaul. Contact Interstate-McBee for details.

The fourteen-digit engine model and manufacturing serial number is etched on a pad located on the left front of the engine cylinder block, above the date and time of manufacture.
